We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Auditor to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of patient charts and medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Audit and reconcile patient charts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and correct errors or discrepancies in patient documentation.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Provide education and training to staff on documentation and charging processes.
- Participate in hospital-wide projects and shared governance activities to drive innovation and improvement.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
- Three years of hospital clinical experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
- One year of experience auditing in a surgical or hospital setting.
- Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
