A distinguished client in the medical device sector is in search of a Manufacturing Process Engineer to become a vital part of their team in a contract-to-permanent role. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in micro soldering, laser stripping, wire bonding, or relevant skills from other industries. This position involves establishing processes, collaborating with builders, evaluating materials, and conducting process validations. Additionally, this role presents the chance to assume process ownership responsibilities.

Position: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Arden Hills, MN

Compensation: $35-50 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Research and Development to formulate design specifications, create testing methodologies, and influence material selection.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) insights to the engineering documentation.
  • Draft and assess validation protocols and reports related to new processes.
  • Guide and/or direct technicians and engineers, and may train manufacturing staff as part of validation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1-6 years of experience in process development.
  • Experience in micro soldering, laser stripping, or wire bonding is advantageous.
  • A hands-on engineering approach is essential.
