A distinguished client in the medical device sector is in search of a Manufacturing Process Engineer to become a vital part of their team in a contract-to-permanent role. This position involves establishing processes, collaborating with builders, evaluating materials, and conducting process validations. Additionally, this role presents the chance to assume process ownership responsibilities.
Position: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Arden Hills, MN
Compensation: $35-50 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Research and Development to formulate design specifications, create testing methodologies, and influence material selection.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) insights to the engineering documentation.
- Draft and assess validation protocols and reports related to new processes.
- Guide and/or direct technicians and engineers, and may train manufacturing staff as part of validation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1-6 years of experience in process development.
- Experience in micro soldering, laser stripping, or wire bonding is advantageous.
- A hands-on engineering approach is essential.
