Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse, Obstetrics to join our team at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA. As a Registered Nurse, Obstetrics, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients, demonstrating knowledge of developmental stages and applying developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care.
  • Perform a comprehensive nursing assessment and use professional judgment to obtain selective data to arrive at nursing diagnoses and discharge planning needs.
  • Implement the individualized plan of care, demonstrating proficiency in clinical nursing skills and prioritizing plan of care accurately.
  • Provide formal and informal teaching relevant to health care needs of patients, utilizing available resources and documenting each phase of the learning process.
  • Effectively implement and revise the discharge plan, initiating interdisciplinary discharge planning and completing appropriate discharge/transfer forms.
  • Establish a pattern of ongoing evaluation and modification of patient care interventions, demonstrating accountability and responsibility for professional nursing practice.
  • Accurately determine the effectiveness of nursing care, evaluating whether selected nursing interventions were appropriate to reach set goals.
  • Communicate pertinent patient information while maintaining confidentiality, documenting patient care and patient responses promptly, clearly, and thoroughly on appropriate forms.
  • Act as an advocate for patient families, understanding and supporting Baystate Franklin Medical Center's 'Patients' Bill of Rights' and intervening consistently in situations where patient integrity is threatened.
Requirements:
  • MA Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR
  • Prior Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery experience preferred
