Job Summary:

The Stevenson University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to join our Campus Safety team. This role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and interact with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Campus Safety staff in managing crowds at events, performances, and commencements.
  • Use communication devices to relay information to campus personnel and safety staff.
  • Interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
  • Report suspicious activity or hazardous circumstances to safety personnel.
  • Monitor lobby areas of specified buildings to verify authorized access.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment as a student in good standing at Stevenson University.
  • A clean criminal record and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work under direction, communicate effectively, and follow safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to pass the Stevenson Drivers Training class.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and to stand for long periods. You may be required to run short distances in emergency situations and work in adverse weather conditions.

Salary:$15-$20 per hour
