Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Perform assigned patient care and mobility tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse, making rounds on assigned units and coordinating patient care and mobility activities as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient activity assignment sheets and document patient care and mobility activities in the patient record, performing additional documentation as required.
- Activities of Daily Living: Perform assigned tasks to meet the personal and comfort needs of patients, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
- Equipment and Supply Utilization: Maintain necessary supplies and equipment to promote patient care and mobility activities, cleaning equipment as needed and notifying supervisors of patient supply and equipment needs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of experience as a nursing assistant highly preferred.
- Skills: Maintain functional knowledge of equipment common to the unit, utilize and care for equipment on nursing units, and demonstrate passive and active range of motion.
- Training: Complete role-specific orientation, including 40 hours of rehabilitation content, and meet continuing education requirements, including CPR and unit-specific competencies.
