Job Title: Mammography Radiographer-PRN

At the University of Maryland Medical System, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Radiographer-PRN to join our team. As a key member of our Breast Imaging Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of breast imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as specimen radiography, under the supervision of a radiologist.
  • Assist radiologists in advanced procedures, such as needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality mammography guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care and resolve conflicts.
  • Participate in in-service training programs and other relevant training sessions to enhance professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
  • Advanced practice Mammography certification by the ARRT is required.
  • Licensure by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is necessary.
  • CPR certification is also required.
