Job Title: Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at UCare Staffing, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for income taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay current with tax legislation and ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws.
  • Oversee the completion of federal and state income tax returns, including analysis and support.
  • Conduct audits of federal and state tax, income tax, and state and local filings.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Supervise a team of tax professionals and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Liaise with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting matters.
  • Ensure the implementation of effective internal controls over accounting for income taxes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects.
  • Advise clients on business and process improvements and serve as a business advisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's degree in taxation preferred.
  • JD and/or CPA required.
  • Seven or more years of related tax consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance and consulting.
  • Experience training and developing staff.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
