About the Position

\

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly skilled surgeon to join its acute care team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Level II trauma program.

Responsibilities

  • \
  • Providing surgical services to patients in need of acute care.\
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.\
  • Participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans.\
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.\
  • Staying current with the latest medical research and technologies to provide evidence-based care.\
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members as needed.\
  • Promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and compassion within the hospital.\
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies.\
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.\
  • Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to advance clinical skills and knowledge.\\/ul>\

Requirements

  • \
  • Board certification or board eligibility in general surgery and surgical critical care.\
  • At least 5 years of experience in acute care surgery.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\\/ul>\
