Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Analyst to join our City Administration Department. As the Assistant to the City Manager, you will provide administrative support and analytical expertise to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the City Manager and Mayor, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and preparing correspondence.
  • Conduct independent research studies, prepare reports, and make recommendations on complex administrative projects and emerging concerns.
  • Manage projects and programs at the discretion of City Management, working closely with department directors and staff to track and report on emerging issues.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between the Mayor and Council, City Management, other City departments, the general public, and external organizations.
  • Represent Councilmembers and the City Manager's Office at internal and external meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Reconcile and manage Council and City Manager Office budgets, procurement, and donation requests.
  • Plan and execute events and regular external meetings for the City Manager's office and Mayor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) or more years of professional-level administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform college-level math and statistics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, financial formulas, statistical calculations, and projections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write complex correspondence and documents for internal and external use.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
