Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students, ensuring they receive the support needed to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs for students with speech and language needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts.
  • Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, applying this knowledge to enhance services and support.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Michigan state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and certification from the Michigan Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
