Industrial Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
  • Install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs, ensuring efficient and effective operation.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with production and scheduling departments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Repair mechanical components and replace parts on machines, using technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Locate causes of mechanical problems and dismantle devices to remove defective parts, applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, ensuring accurate and precise operation.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, applying technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document changeover times and work orders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Follow safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe work environment, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to solve practical problems
  • Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Solid mechanical experience
  • Fabrication experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics required
