Job Title: Traveling Labor and Delivery Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team of traveling healthcare professionals. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Labor and Delivery nursing, with excellent clinical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan of care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, as well as collaborating with medical staff to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of California
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
