Housing Liaison Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Housing Liaison to join our team at Turning Point Community Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing access to private and public rental markets for individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain tenant-centered housing plans for individuals and families being served.
- Build relationships with landlords and create incentives for them to relax screening criteria for people experiencing homelessness.
- Provide housing case management services, including housing navigation, tenancy, and sustaining services.
- Develop outreach materials to establish and maintain relationships with landlords.
- Act as a liaison and mediator for housing issues between tenants and landlords.
- Perform unit move-in and move-out inspections, prepare rental agreements, and explain documents to tenants.
- Provide property management services for housing units owned and/or leased by TPCP.
- Participate in quarterly inspections of TPCP owned and/or leased units.
- Maintain statistics and provide narrative reports on a monthly basis.
Requirements:
- A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined above is through graduation from a two-year college or university with an associate's degree in business administration, real estate, social work, or a related field, or three years of varied experience as a property manager or provider of mental health services.
- Optimum qualifications include a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, and three years of varied experience as a provider of mental health or property management services.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
