Pediatric Physical Therapist

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in our school-based team, dedicated to promoting the physical well-being and motor development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' physical strengths and challenges, informing the development of targeted intervention plans.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to create personalized education plans that address students' unique needs.
- Design and implement evidence-based physical therapy programs to enhance students' functional abilities, mobility, and independence.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, adapting interventions to meet their individual needs and learning styles.
- Develop and lead professional development workshops, empowering educators to integrate physical therapy strategies into classroom activities and promote inclusive physical education practices.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state.
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in motor development, gross motor skills, and physical fitness in the school-aged population.
- Familiarity with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the IEP process.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and educators.
