Machinist, Grind Shop

At MSC Industrial Supply Co., we are seeking a skilled Manual Cutter Grinder to join our team. As a key member of our Grind Shop, you will be responsible for regrinding, reconditioning, and manufacturing cutting tools according to instructions.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining.
• Operate various machine tools, including mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers, to perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, and shaping.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using precision instruments.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of machine shop experience required.
• Basic knowledge of blueprints and their interpretation required.
• Ability to use test and measuring equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
