Job Title: Interventional Neuro Technologist - IVU

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Neuro Technologist - IVU to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As an Interventional Neuro Technologist - IVU, you will be responsible for performing advanced neurointerventional procedures and providing patient care to patients of varying ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with neurointerventionalists and other healthcare professionals in performing various complex neurointerventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians, according to OR standards of practice, in maintaining a sterile field, proper set-up, and handling and maintenance of equipment and injection of contrast media.
  • Provide basic and advanced life support according to AHA standards under direct supervision of physician or according to protocol.
  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing complex neurointerventional procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients closely during procedures and respond to any emergent situations effectively.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma / GED.
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) Certified or Graduate of a formal radiation technologists program with RT (R) (VI certification is required within two (2) years of date of hire); or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS certified).
  • Two (2) years of experience as an Interventional technologist either in the cath lab or Interventional Radiology or Interventional Neuro.
