Dining Room Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Manager to join our team at American House Senior Living Communities. As a Dining Room Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dining room, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train dining room staff to provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist in establishing staffing schedules and monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage
  • Directly supervise employees in the dining room, including interviewing, hiring, and training
  • Plan and assign work, appraise performance, and reward and discipline employees as needed
  • Ensure a clean and pleasant dining environment, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Two years of related experience and/or training in hospitality, senior living, or club dining rooms
  • Current ServSafe certification required
  • Flexibility with schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and other staff
