Job Overview

Position Summary

This full-time role involves the verification and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments. The individual will prepare items for dispatch while adhering to the quality and productivity standards set by PCs for People. The responsibilities are divided as follows:

  • 85% dedicated to selecting and packaging products for dispatch
  • 10% focused on receiving incoming shipments
  • 5% allocated to miscellaneous tasks as required

Core Responsibilities

  • Assessing work orders to identify order picking tasks and executing them based on specific guidelines
  • Maintaining organized records of shipping activities
  • Collaborating with management to enhance operational processes
  • Tracking and resolving issues related to missing or lost shipments
  • Receiving and transporting incoming goods to appropriate storage locations, which may involve the use of carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and pallet lifts
  • Identifying and rejecting damaged items, documenting shortages, and communicating with shippers to address discrepancies
  • Managing returns and exchanges by ensuring compliance with reverse distribution protocols
  • Keeping a sufficient stock of shipping materials readily available
  • Ensuring the workspace and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Testing keyboards and monitors
  • Assembling keyboard packages
  • Gathering and preparing all necessary equipment for online, bulk, and surplus orders
  • Creating protective packaging
  • Assisting with the organization of bulk orders and wrapping
  • Facilitating freight pick-ups
  • Receiving packages from various carriers
  • Providing supervisors with copies of shipping documentation
  • Updating bulk order sheets with relevant identifiers
  • Maintaining the accuracy of inventory records
  • Completing necessary documentation for errors
  • Providing customer service support
  • Generating shipping labels
  • Linking devices to client accounts
  • Understanding and achieving key performance indicators

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Experience in packaging is advantageous
  • Capability to lift over 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to estimate and meet deadlines effectively
  • Genuine interest in computers and technology
  • Experience in computer repair is beneficial
  • Must be able to pass a background check
