We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Hope Network. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, including your own. As a Medical Assistant, you will have the chance to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing your skills and expertise to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide for intake and registration of patients, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of medical information.
- Organize and maintain accurate patient and general files and records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Transcribe patient information, presenting problem, histories, physical examination notes, and related patient medical information containing specialized medical terminology.
- Document physical assessments, laboratory results/needs, and progress in treatment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Make appropriate referrals, providing factual information regarding County or specific health unit activities and service.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong passion for serving others and delivering exceptional patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, with certification preferred.
- At least one year of experience handling and administering medications, with a valid Michigan Driver's License.
