Job Title: Nurse (RN) - TB Clinic

Collin County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our TB program team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and case management services for TB cases and suspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical assessments, patient education, and counseling to ensure effective case management
  • Directly observed therapy and patient referrals to ensure timely and appropriate treatment
  • Control the spread of TB by conducting contact elicitation/notification and testing, and participating in active surveillance activities
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and triaging emergencies
  • Interact with patients to obtain vital signs, medical history, and sputum collections
  • Perform lab work and send samples to the courier
  • Participate in related duties as assigned in Health Care Services, including the Immunization clinic, STD Clinic, Travel Medicine Clinic, Employee Health Clinic, and Adult Health Clinic
Requirements:
  • Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas
  • At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR certification (or obtain within 60 days of employment)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to exercise independent thinking within the limits of policies, standards, and precedents
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Starting Salary: $72,532 per year
