Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion food for regular and therapeutic diets
  • Distribute and serve food in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of snacks and supplements
  • Maintain supply of snack items and ensure proper storage
  • Participate in the distribution of food and supplies from vendors
  • Prepare necessary paperwork in a timely and correct manner
  • Follow procedures for sanitation and storage of dishes and food service equipment
  • Train or assist in training new food service employees
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of food preparation methods, food storage standards, and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to prepare and serve food, clean dining and serving areas, and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds, bend, reach, stand/walk on hard floors for extended periods, and work in hot and/or cold conditions
  • Ability to work harmoniously and productively with co-workers and residents
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, and noise. The successful candidate must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
