Overview:

At Love's, our Operations Managers play a crucial role in overseeing daily business activities to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position involves leading a dedicated team, managing operational processes, and implementing strategies to boost sales and achieve organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will have hands-on responsibility for various business operations, which may include retail, fuel services, dining, fresh kitchen, and truck care facilities.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment through effective management of restrooms, showers, facilities, and equipment.
  • Drive product and service sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
  • Assist the General Manager in executing tasks, ensuring schedule and cash integrity, and completing necessary reporting.
  • Analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management on talent acquisition efforts.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, travel stops, convenience stores, big box, grocery, or department store management.
  • Experience managing operations with annual sales exceeding $2 million.
  • Proficiency in interpreting budgets and P&L statements.
  • Experience supervising and training teams of 5-10+ employees.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires:

  • Regular communication and active engagement, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving items over 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities to perform essential functions.
