NDNH Milieu Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NDNH Milieu Worker to join our team at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory. As a key member of our housing program, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for survivors of trafficking.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor house rules to promote resident conduct, fire safety, and room conditions.
- Conduct house and room checks, answer phone calls, and greet visitors.
- Accommodate new residents, prepare home reports, and manage sign-in logs.
- Respond to emergencies, evacuate residents safely, and address their needs and requests.
- Communicate and support residents in a trauma-informed manner, participating in groups, leading community meals, and providing emotional support.
- Participate in biweekly team meetings and effectively communicate with the house manager, Milieu Coordinator, and other staff.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior residential, social service, or customer service work experience.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and proficiency in internet use.
- Completion of training on recognizing and reporting child abuse, and meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014.
- Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
- Understanding, appreciation, and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
