Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Inspector to join our team. As a Senior Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects. Your expertise will be invaluable in mentoring junior field staff, collaborating with project managers, and conducting thorough inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document observations of construction progress for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, primarily roads and bridges.
  • Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.
  • Collaborate with other field representatives or project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
  • Conduct and document observations of construction progress.
  • Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years' experience in construction inspection of major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as NYSDOT, NYSTA.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT certification.
  • ACI certification.
  • OSHA-30 hour training.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $46.41 to $66.29 hourly, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
