Experiential Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Experiential Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing experiential therapy programs in various treatment areas. You will work closely with interdisciplinary staff and community resources to provide a comprehensive treatment experience for our patients.

• Conduct experiential therapy sessions as scheduled, evaluating and planning programming to meet patients' needs.
• Maintain a safe and well-supplied Experiential Therapy environment, being flexible with work assignments and schedule changes.
• Develop and implement a wide range of experiential therapies, including adventure-based and environmental activities, sports, dance, group initiatives, arts/crafts, music, outdoor activities, art media, psychodrama, horticulture, and ropes and challenge course.
• Document treatment plans and evaluations according to Rogers policy, completing therapeutic documentation as required.
• Establish a therapeutic rapport with patient groups, maintaining professional relationships and safely intervening when necessary.

• A BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Certification or registration through a credentialing board is preferred, along with a valid driver's license in the state of employment.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification is required within 30 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
• Formal training in managing aggressive patients is required within 60 days of hire, with annual re-certification, including self-defense training.
• Ropes and Challenge Course training by Rogers Memorial Hospital is required, with yearly renewal (where applicable to the position).
