Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to support our ArcGIS systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in ArcGIS Desktop and Transportation projects, preferably within Roads and Highways.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain geospatial web services and Esri ArcGIS Desktop enterprise products.
* Collaborate with the GIS Units to develop and maintain geospatial and mobile data collection efforts.
* Apply technical knowledge and experience to Unit level problem solving.

Requirements:

* Advanced understanding of Esri's product suite, including desktop, server, and web products.
* Working knowledge of general GIS concepts related to data, analysis, cartography, and editing.
* Applied knowledge of product development, including requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with simple ArcPy, Python scripting, and Esri ArcGIS model builder.
* Ability to locate and/or team with appropriate resources in the GIS Unit and NCDOT to provide quality customer solutions.
* Positive customer service skills and attitude.

Working Conditions:

* This is a remote position.
* The candidate must be authorized to work without sponsorship.

* The candidate must be a W2 Employee.
* Face to face interview is not required.
