Position Overview:
The role involves executing vital tasks associated with various clinical specialties, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology/Immunology, depending on the assigned shift. Specific competencies are required for positions in Molecular Pathology, Flow Cytometry, and Point of Care. For roles focused on Customer Service, essential functions include processing and reporting reference lab tests.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience is preferred, although student experience is acceptable.
Educational Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree along with completion of an accredited medical technology program is preferred. Alternatively, candidates may possess qualifications for high complexity testing as assessed against the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments 88 (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part).
Licensure/Certification:
Preferred certification includes ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Registry.
