Job Overview:

APTIM is seeking an experienced CEI Senior Inspector to support FDOT projects in a field position. The successful candidate will be responsible for QA/QC activities and may also support additional APTIM projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough daily field inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with FDOT specifications, plans, and safety standards.
  2. Verify that materials and workmanship meet project requirements and FDOT standards.
  3. Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and inspection reports.
  4. Document non-conformance issues and ensure they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  5. Perform test evaluations on materials and workmanship as required by project specifications and FDOT guidelines.
  6. Monitor contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  7. Communicate effectively with CEI Project Administrator, Senior Project Engineer, and FDOT representatives regarding project progress and issues.
  8. Assist in resolving issues by providing recommendations and working with the project team and contractors.
  9. Assist in training new inspection staff on FDOT standards and project-specific requirements.
  10. Ensure all documentation is organized and readily accessible for review and audits.
  11. Provide and enforce a culture of safety on the job site.
  12. Assist in final inspection and project closeout process, ensuring all punch list items are completed to FDOT standards.
  13. Prepare final inspection reports and documentation for project completion.
Qualifications:

CTQP

Final Estimates Level 2 (required); QC Manager (required); Asphalt Level 2 and/or Earthwork Level 2 (may be required)

Certifications:

FDOT Advanced MOT
