Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor I to join our team at Vandenberg, CA. As a key member of our organization, you will provide personal financial services to military service members and their families at military installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families.
  • Develop and deliver financial education programs, including briefings, presentations, and workshops.
  • Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
  • Coordinate and publicize Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
  • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • May be required to work outside of traditional office hours to support business needs.
  • Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.
