- Monitor patients' conditions, reporting changes and taking necessary actions to ensure optimal care.
- Respond to patients' needs, providing assistance and support as required.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Provide basic patient care, including taking temperatures, blood pressures, dressing wounds, and performing catheterizations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Assemble and use medical equipment, such as catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
- Record patients' food and fluid intake and output.
- Postsecondary certificate from a vocational school or Associate's degree in nursing required.
- Current state licensure required.
