Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and start intravenous fluids, documenting patient information accurately.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, reporting changes and taking necessary actions to ensure optimal care.
  • Respond to patients' needs, providing assistance and support as required.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Provide basic patient care, including taking temperatures, blood pressures, dressing wounds, and performing catheterizations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Assemble and use medical equipment, such as catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
  • Record patients' food and fluid intake and output.
Requirements
  • Postsecondary certificate from a vocational school or Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • Current state licensure required.
