Job Title: Medical/Surgical Neuro Stroke Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical/Surgical Neuro Stroke Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Medical/Surgical Neuro Stroke Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Neuro/Stroke unit.

Responsibilities:

* Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
* Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
* Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

* BLS and ACLS certification.
* National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
* Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
* Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
* The ability to stand for extended periods.
* Strong technical skills.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Passionate about patient care.
* Requires a minimum of two years of RN Med/Surg Neuro Stroke experience.
* Graduate from a fully accredited RN program.
* Active unencumbered RN Oklahoma state license.
* One year of Epic experience.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:

* Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
* Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
* Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
* Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
