About the Job

In this rewarding role as a Patient Transporter with GMCares, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a full-time Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently between their homes and medical facilities, utilizing your exceptional driving skills and navigation expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe and professional patient transport between homes and medical facilities
  • Efficient use of map software for navigation
  • Communication with dispatch for instructions and updates
  • Adherence to safety protocols and maintenance checks for vehicle readiness
Requirements
  • At least 22 years of age
  • A minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a valid New Mexico driver's license
  • 3-year clean driving record
  • Comfortable operating large vans for 8 hours or more
  • Preferred experience working with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and overnights
  • CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it within 30 days)
  • Successful completion of DOT drug and physical exams, and background checks
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 125+ pounds
