Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team in a part-time, evening shift role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Responsibilities
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and situation, utilizing age and culturally sensitive practices to prioritize and optimize patient flow.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues, and identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
  • Implement, coordinate, and educate to promote health and a safe practice environment.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes, and communicate effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession, and attain knowledge and competence that reflect current nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
