About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Scientist to join our team at the U.S. Department of Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting scientific research and analysis to support the development of energy policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of energy programs and policies
  • Develop and implement scientific plans and designs to support the development of new energy technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve scientific issues related to energy production and consumption
  • Prepare and present scientific reports and briefings to senior officials and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Physical Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of specialized experience in scientific research and analysis, preferably in the energy sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate scientific information to non-technical stakeholders
