Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Director to join our team at The Skills Coalition. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the tax function and providing strategic guidance to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns, including individual, fiduciary, corporate, and multistate returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies, including research and analysis of complex tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage tax risk and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tax projects.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and implement tax procedures and financial statements.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • At least 7 years of experience at a CPA firm.
  • 5 years of supervisory leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and assign tasks based on the skill set of the team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with UltraTax, CS Checkpoint, Intuit products, or similar software.
  • Strong skills in Thomson Reuters UltraTax, CS Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and Intuit QuickBooks.
