Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Hannaford Supermarkets team, the Category Analyst II plays a crucial role in supporting the Category Manager to drive strategic initiatives and enhance departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Category Merchandising & Pricing teams to facilitate the successful execution of departmental strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses for evaluated categories to support Brand strategies.
  • Assist in optimizing shelf layouts, assortment decisions, cost negotiations, promotional strategies, and product development.
  • Ensure promotional plans are crafted using items that maximize margins while adhering to category role standards.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy of vendor-submitted deals.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of deals and budget information.
  • Aid the Category Manager in completing all necessary tasks for a smooth Category Review process.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Proven ability to foster cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in managing daily responsibilities effectively.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $63,000 and $95,100.
