  • Oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for various entities, with a particular focus on high-net-worth individuals and real estate.
  • Review financial statements and execute accounting adjustments, including bank reconciliations and maintaining client records.
  • Prepare and analyze complex tax planning projections for both individual and corporate tax liabilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of client services and manage due dates effectively.
  • Prepare or review intricate U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and draft memoranda to document findings and conclusions.
  • Respond to inquiries and audits from the IRS and state agencies, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
  • Engage directly with clients, colleagues, and management on various tax-related matters.
  • Lead the department in the utilization of software, processes, and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in tax management.
  • Experience in individual tax compliance and planning; familiarity with CS Suite and UltraTax is advantageous.
  • Proficient in tax research, with experience using RIA.
  • Knowledge of gift, estate, and trust returns is a plus.
  • Experience with partnership taxation is beneficial.
  • A collaborative and friendly demeanor, with a strong team-oriented approach.
