We are looking for a dedicated Inpatient Nurse Practitioner to enhance our ProMedica Physicians Hematology Oncology team.

The role will primarily involve providing care at our main hospital facilities, with the potential for telehealth support at additional locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inpatient rounds and collaborate closely with the attending oncologist on patient care.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations as required.
  • Assist in the transition of care for outpatient services as needed.
  • Educate patients on various treatment options available.
  • Address health-related issues associated with cancer diagnoses.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
  • Contribute to cancer research initiatives aimed at improving patient care.
  • Offer resources to patients and families to promote positive health outcomes.
  • Involve patients and their families in the development of treatment plans.
  • Monitor and document patient progress consistently.
  • Record care provided, including patient responses to treatments.
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities as required by the practice.
  • Fulfill rotating weekend call obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the states of Ohio and Michigan is required.
  • Experience in oncology is preferred.
  • Certification to practice is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Excellent organizational abilities are required.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Commitment to achieving high levels of patient satisfaction is crucial.
  • Pre-employment drug screening will be conducted.
