Key Responsibilities of the Associate Counsel:

  • Prepare, assess, and negotiate various legal documents such as purchase and sale agreements, access agreements, closing documents, loan agreements, leases, operating agreements, and other pertinent real estate legal instruments;
  • Engage collaboratively with the Legal, Asset Management, Leasing, Development, and Acquisitions Teams;
  • Evaluate and interpret due diligence materials;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including offering ad-hoc legal advice and support for various projects and initiatives.

Qualifications for the Associate Counsel:

  • 3 to 9 years of extensive experience in complex commercial real estate, covering acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing. Experience in a large law firm is preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in transactions;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Highly organized with the ability to work effectively and independently;
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring detailed and accurate outcomes in a well-structured manner;
  • Juris Doctor degree and active standing in at least one state, with eligibility to waive into the Illinois bar.
