Job Description: The Clean Energy Legislative Manager will play a pivotal role in Good Energy Collective's legislative and policy strategies. This position requires experience in government relations, legislative affairs, or advocacy, with a strong background in clean energy or environmental policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on emerging policy issues, assess impacts, and present insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Track Policy Developments: Develop processes to monitor policy developments; work with Directors to create appropriate touch points and cross-educate GEC staff.
  • Advocate for Clean Energy Goals: Actively engage with legislators, policymakers, and partners to advance Good Energy Collective's clean energy goals, providing credible insights and research-backed positions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, economics, law, journalism, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of work experience with 5+ years in government relations, legislative affairs, or advocacy; experience in the clean energy or environmental policy sectors preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex issues in an accessible and compelling manner, and commitment to building internal consensus throughout the lifecycles of government affairs initiatives.

Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range $95,000 - $130,000 with a midpoint of $112,500, and a starting offer set at 95% of the midpoint ($106,875), as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
