About the Part-Time Therapist Role at Headspace:

Headspace is seeking part-time, Psypact authorized, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are currently accepting applications from Psypact providers based in all states nationwide, excluding CA and WA. Contractor therapists are asked to offer a minimum of 5 sessions/week, with flexibility to offer additional sessions when needed.

The pay range for the contractor therapist is $90-$110 per session, determined by factors including location, licensure, experience, specializations, and other relevant considerations. A $1000 bonus will be provided each quarter if a total of 130+ sessions are delivered/completed every quarter.

All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. Due to the nature of healthcare services provided to our customers, partners, and members, all work must be provided in the U.S. Data, specifically personal health information, may not be accessed, disclosed, or used outside of the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, innovative tele-therapy to Headspace patients over a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform
  • Complete, sign, and lock clinical case notes in EMR within 48 hours of session
  • Maintain a personalized database to record proof of licensure, license updates, expiration dates, personal information, etc.
  • Keep your availability calendar up to date
  • Stay in regular communication with clinical leadership, checking work emails in a timely fashion and responding within 24 hours, even if not working
  • Work with a collaborative care team including health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers

Requirements:

  • Available to offer at least 5 sessions per week, with the ability to flex up when needed
  • Night and weekend flexibility a plus
  • Clinical competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care
  • Knowledge, ability, and commitment to providing culturally responsive care
  • Willingness and confidence to integrate cutting-edge technology into all aspects of care
  • Familiarity, comfort, and confidence with care delivery technology - various applications, tech tools, Google web-apps, video conferencing, EMR, etc.
  • A safe, secure location with reliable internet connection to provide Zoom-based psychotherapy
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
  • 3+ years experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families
  • Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases
  • Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or licensure in other relevant mental health fields
  • An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (without need for clinical supervision)
  • BC-TMH credential, if required by your state of license

Preferred (If Applicable):

  • Licensure in multiple states is highly valued
  • Licensed psychologist with willingness to apply for (or is already enrolled) with PSYPACT
  • Adolescent or Spanish specialty
  • Familiarity with the Headspace app and content
  • Willingness to offer a few evening hours in your schedule to support member care flexibility
  • Experience and willingness to deliver concurrent documentation

As such, Headspace requests that individuals who have received coaching or clinical services at Headspace wait until their care with Headspace is complete before applying for a position. If someone with a Headspace account is hired for a position, please note their account will be deactivated and they will not be able to use Headspace services for the duration of their employment.

Further, if Headspace cannot find a role that fails to resolve an ethical issue associated with a dual relationship, Headspace may need to take steps to ensure ethical obligations are being adhered to, including a delayed start date or a potential leave of absence. Such steps would be taken to protect both the former member, as well as any relevant individuals from their care team, from impairment, risk of exploitation, or harm.
