LaJoy Group is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the field of self-determination and agency with choice. We are seeking an experienced Program Support Specialist to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires excellent customer service, auditing, and payroll skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external audits, training personnel on enrollment procedures, and conducting payroll processing.

Responsibilities
  • Audits & Compliance:
    • Manage internal and external audits, including collecting documentation and reviewing policies/procedures.
    • Create and update policies & procedures based on laws, regulations, and requirements.
    • Conduct ongoing background checks and file accuracy, audit for compliance and document.
    • Internal audits regarding compliance, documentation, and records.
  • Payroll:
    • Work directly with the payroll team to ensure accurate, complete, and timely payroll processing.
    • Audit all time entry (paper timesheets & electronic) with hours approved.
    • Main point of contact for payroll concerns and resolution.
  • In-Person Enrollments:
    • Conduct in-person enrollments (within the state of MI) as a backup or excess appointments.
    • Train new personnel on proper procedures for enrollments. Audit paperwork.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Contact Adult Protective Services in regard to reports of fraud, waste, or abuse.
    • Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An Associates degree or bachelors in a related field preferred. Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • Two to three years of previous experience in customer service, auditing, or payroll required.
  • Previous experience with ADP preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, and other Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to relate to internal and external customers and clients, alike, at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.
  • High level of independent problem solving.
  • Previous experience working with a vulnerable population or customers preferred.
