Cardiovascular Specialist

Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our team at Geisinger Hazleton in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

• Collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service.
• Demonstrate autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Manage and assist in the smooth, efficient operations of the inpatient cardiology patient, outpatient cardiology clinic, cardiac labs, and outreach cardiology clinics.
• Order testing as deemed necessary and remain proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication regimen within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner.

• Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA or certification by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
