Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Chief Anesthesiology Director to lead the Department of Anesthesiology at our St. Luke's Cornwall campus.
About the OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity for a seasoned anesthesiologist to take on a leadership role and shape the future of our department. As Chief Anesthesiology Director, you will be responsible for the daily management of the clinical and administrative activities of the department, ensuring high-quality patient care and overall satisfaction with anesthesiology services at the campus.
You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and administrative staff to provide exceptional care to patients. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in driving the growth and success of our department.
About the Role- Lead the Department of Anesthesiology at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall, overseeing daily operations and making strategic decisions to drive growth and improvement.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with departmental standards, Joint Commission, Department of Health, and OSHA regulations.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering open communication and teamwork among staff members.
- Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and administrative staff to address quality-of-care concerns and implement improvements.
- Recruit, interview, and hire MDs, CRNAs, and administrative support staff as needed.

We offer a competitive salary range of $325,000 - $450,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education opportunities.
Requirements- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- B/C in Anesthesiology.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in anesthesiology, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- New York state medical license.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.
