Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach courses in Psychology or Sociology at Wayne Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching day and evening classes, which may include classes offered on campus, at area high schools or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Psychology or Sociology using transitional methods, online, and hybrid formats.
• Submit reports as required and maintain student evaluation records.
• Participate in curriculum development, revision, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and or Dean.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in teaching discipline (Psychology or Sociology) or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline (Psychology or Sociology) from a regionally accredited institution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A self-starter and team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Availability to teach at least one seated class per week on campus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual.
