Water Treatment Plant Operations Specialist

Job OverviewWe are currently hiring a Water Treatment Plant Operator (Level II) for a US Coast Guard Base in Kodiak, AK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and utilize your expertise in water treatment operations.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow, testing water samples, and recording data. They will also inject chemicals, start agitators, and pump clarified water into storage tanks and distribution mains.
In addition, the operator will monitor panel boards, adjust controls, repair and lubricate machines, and operate portable water-purification plants. They will observe variations in operating conditions, interpret meter and gauge readings, and maintain wastewater treatment logs.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, applicants must have two years of experience working in a facility of similar capacity and configuration. They should also possess knowledge of SCADA systems and be able to pass a background and drug screening.
Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package and benefits to our employees.
