Overview

American Institutes for Research (AIR) seeks a skilled Data Analyst, Health to join our team. As a Data Analyst, Health, you will contribute to advancing evidence and saving lives by leading rigorous research and evaluation; results-driven technical assistance and training; and leading-edge data science and technology tools.

The selected candidate will collaborate in research, technical assistance, and operations projects funded by Federal Agencies. You will work with a team of experts to analyze healthcare data, provide support to project directors and senior team members, and conduct quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Query large databases, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer claims data
  • Construct and document analytic data files
  • Create customized reports from data analysis results
  • Apply quantitative methods and techniques to manage and analyze research data
  • Participate in research study design
  • Manage administrative aspects of projects
  • Support preparation of technical procedures and reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field with 2+ years of experience in health policy or a related field
  • Experience processing and analyzing Medicare, Medicaid, or other commercial claims data
  • Knowledge of data analysis and management techniques
  • Experience with Snowflake and Databricks preferred

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
