Urology Clinic Licensed Vocational Nurse Position

At PIH Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our Urology Clinic team in a full-time capacity.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients in the Urology Clinic. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the facility to ensure proper security and working conditions, maintaining routine records and determining the type and extent of equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a thorough and accurate security log throughout assigned shifts, documenting details as they occur.
  • Actively notify the proper personnel of any alarms and document communication.
  • Ensure completion of rounds and rounding forms.
  • Attend routine training and education for the security department.
  • Maintain complete documentation, records, and reports as required by the hospital's Quality and Infection Control department.
  • Assist with escorting visitors and staff upon request.
  • Complete shift reports with relieving officers.
  • Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education programs.
  • Maintain a professional attitude with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while ensuring confidentiality of patient and other hospital information.

Requirements:

  • High school, technical, or electrical trade school graduate.
  • Three years' experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • General knowledge of hospital processes.
  • Knowledge of processes used in hospitals.
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
