Senior Maintenance Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations for a commercial baking facility. The Senior Maintenance Manager will lead a team of associates and be responsible for ensuring safe working conditions, compliance with state and federal regulations, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, and machine mechanics, as well as experience with PLC programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance operations for a commercial baking facility.
- Lead a team of associates to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage and develop plant maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement systems to ensure products are manufactured in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
- Ensure associates have the tools, resources, and capabilities to succeed and deliver on expectations.
- Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Understand, coach, and teach the principles of BBU Continuous Improvement principles.
- Identify, implement, and manage capital improvement projects.
- Conduct performance appraisals of the Maintenance management team.
- Administer and audit all Maintenance safety control programs.
- Administer and audit all Maintenance environmental protection programs.
- Develop technical training programs for maintenance supervision and mechanics.
- Develop short and long-term planning, objectives, programs, and goals, and department budget and cost controls.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Ten or more years of hands-on management experience in maintenance and engineering leading medium to large size food plant.
- Operational background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, fuel burning equipment, and machine mechanics.
- Conceptual knowledge of PLC programming; PLC programming experience preferred.
- AIB certification preferred.
