Job Summary

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for performing access control screening functions for employees and visitors in INSCOM owned or leased buildings and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all personnel and safety policies are followed and perform assigned duties in a safe work manner.
  • Arrive at work in proper uniform and carry necessary equipment.
  • Be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment.
  • Carry out general and special orders for assigned area.
  • Communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders.
  • Control access to buildings and property, protect equipment and material, and perform facility security inspections as directed.
  • Interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.
  • Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
  • Respond and assist medical, fire department, law enforcement, and other personnel at the direction of supervisors.
  • Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
  • Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
  • Active TS clearance.
  • Access control experience preferred.
  • Comply with federal law, verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and complete employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prior military, civilian, or security guard experience preferred.
  • Successfully completed all training and obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances for the site.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • No record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years.
